CIMI or bust!

CIMI (Catalina Island Marine Institute) trip selections were announced and Alexandr made it! We're so excited he gets to participate in this awesome trip. We're sad for Koll because he was not selected... getting suspended last week and having an F in Language Arts didn't help his cause I'm afraid. As an educator I get why he wasn't selected; as a mom I'm sad and disappointed. If anyone would benefit from a trip like this, it would be Koll, the kid who hates writing and reading but loves doing and touching. What a perfect experience for him. And it would nurture his love of science - right now he is kicking around becoming a marine biologist... Some lessons are hard to learn and they are even harder watching your baby have to learn them.
